A little shy?

How to Cold-Call a New Prospect

Just how do you start your Cold-Call to someone new? The following conversation is not a script; it is an outline of how such a conversation might go.

“Hi there, my name is (use your name and Surname). I am hoping you may be able to help me. I represent a company called Scentsy and I’m looking for people to promote high quality wickless candles in this/your area. Do you know anyone who might be interested in earning a part-time or full-time income, working from home?
Always ask questions pertaining to them. How many children do you have? What do you like to do for fun?

Show your prospect you are genuinely interested in them. This will insure a converstaion with either them or their friends and family.

Gratitude Recruiting - The Gift That Keeps Giving.

Wanted to start this week off with our focus on RECRUITING. This will be the topic of our call next week and wanted to get your heads going right now and touch base with some basic information about recruiting. Hope you all enjoy!

What do all of the following organizations with very different agendas have
in common with Scentsy?

•Girl Scouts
•U.S. Army
•Fortune 500 Companies
•Universities
•American Cancer Society
•Cheerleading Squads
•Fitness Clubs
•Churches

The answer: They ALL recruit

It doesn’t make any difference whether the organizations are designed for profit or charity…for recreation or work. Virtually all organizations grow by recruiting like-minded members.

Gratitude Recruiting – The Gift That Keeps Giving

Look at the positives that come from introducing someone to Scentsy:

•Scheduling your work around your life, instead of your life around your work
•Having fun while making money
•Making a positive difference in other people’s lives
•Sharing high value products
•Setting & achieving your goals
•Working at your own pace
•Owning your own business
•Using your special gifts to benefit you, your family and others

What ‘s Not To Be Grateful For?
The key to Gratitude Recruiting is to reframe your mental scripts to focus on positive outcomes instead of focusing on what won’t work. Focus on the benefits.

Examples:
•She’s so outgoing Scentsy would be perfect for her
•A flexible schedule would allow her to be home with her children more
•She’s always dreamed of owning he own business

Don’t Let Fear Keep You From Sharing Scentsy With Others.

“Courage isn’t the absence of fear. Courage is taking action in the face of fear”

Remember: "You can get anything in life if you'll just help enough other people get what they want." Zig Ziglar

Have a great week! Cheri

6 Super Tips to Build a Successful TEAM!

While you always want to put your customers first, don't forget about your silent income - your team members! Having a well trained team selling for you can account for half your income. Your downline is one of your most important parts of direct sales. A good team member usually won't take up too much of your time. Aside from a few questions here and there, the hardest working downline members are busy working their business and training themselves. However, it's important to remember this - even if they don't ask for your help, they may need it. Make sure you are paying attention to all of your team, not just the ones contacting you. Here are a few things you can do to help keep motivation up, and to let your downline know you are behind them 100%:

1. Team Emails Do you have information or tips to give? Organize them in a simple newsletter. This can be monthly, weekly, or random. Include expert articles designed to help motivate and train your team. You can also include a summary of your meeting as well, for those that didn't make it.

2. Team Incentives Hold a monthly contest for the most sales, or something similar. This helps boost your own income, while getting your team motivated at the same time. If your company holds a contest, sweeten the deal and offer something extra if someone from your team wins.

3. Give a Personal Touch Don't forget about birthdays, holidays, and other special days. Keep good track of these important dates and include your downline members on your "card-giving" lists. The extra note will let them know they are important to you!

4. Team Blog A great way to keep in contact with everyone. There is many different ways you could set this up to fit your needs. You can give all team members full access to make posts or you could have it set up so they can only leave comments, ask questions etc. You can keep your blog private so only yourself and your team members have access or you can keep this open to the public so everyone can read it.

5. Team Training Part of your responsibilities as a direct selling leader is to train your team members on the specifics of building their direct selling business. One way you can do this is to hold face-to-face team meetings with local team members. Use meetings not just to direct your team, but let it be open for ideas as well. Holding monthly meetings to talk about the month is a great way to help everyone as a whole. Talk about who sold what and where, and any special tips anyone might like to share. It's a great time to answer questions as well! Another way thanks to the wonderful World Wide Web, you can now hold meetings with team members from all over the world. No matter how you choose to do it, training is a necessary part of your role as a team leader.

6. Teach by Example If you aren't selling products yourself, this needs to be at the top of your list. Just as children pick up things from their parents, your team is doing the same. There are many other ways to help motivate and train your team.

Just remember…

They are working for you as hard as they are working for themselves!

Post your ideas for building a successful team. I would love to hear from all your ideas. Comment and you receive a prize from me.

Have a GREAT weekend....remember to book those parties for FEBRUARY.

2010 is going to be your YEAR!

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
---Nelson Mandela

I hope all had a wonderful time Christmas and a Happy New Year! I have taken a little time off, but now is the time to get back in the game. I hope you will all join me in starting off January right to help us through our new year. This is the toughest month to sell, but for other's this will be their best month. Put your best foot forward and You will succeed!!

Don't forget to make your sample, give those past hostess's a call, call those continued customer's, and those last minute Christmas shoppers...tell them you are thankful for them and they are a key part to your business.

I will post December sales and top sales later today along with January prizes. You all had a fantasic December and I can't wait to see what 2010 has in store for us. We will have a call tomorrow night, but we will not have a meeting. I will let you know when our next meeting will be.

Don't frown because you never know who is falling in love with your smile. ---Sinvyest Tan

Happy Monday!!!!!
