Recap of Monica's call last night.

Monica did an excellent job on the call last night. If you may have any questions, please feel free to post them on the blog so other consultants can see and help answer them.

Recap of Monica’s call:
Fair/Shows
Inventory is crucial. Make sure you have plenty of light bulbs. Rule of thumb is to always have at least 4 times of inventory for your entry free. Example: Your entry fee is $80 you will need $320 in product. Take your most popular Warmers (all), bars (favorites), car candles, and travel tins. You never go home with your entire product.

Before the show

Label all your warmers, top and bottom, and outside of the box. Label all bars, car candles, and travel tins. Have some sort of organization before you go to the show. Always practice setting up your display before your show. “Start Your Own Business” sign on Scentsy Success is a good way to advertise joining your team. If you can’t sell directly from your booth, have a lot of fliers, samples, and displays. People will want to know more. Have plenty of pens and paper for your drawing. Have your calendar marked with your open and closed dates.

Setting up

Make sure your inventory is on the table where people can see what you have. Use a decorated peg board for your bars, car candles, and travel tin display. Husband made a plug-in display to show her plug-ins. Be sure to have a drawing so you can receive customer information rather they buy something or not. I have a excel sheet that I put on the table asking for their name, phone number, address and email address. I have had several people fill that out. It is a good way to get their contact information too. Have your testers in case they want to order something you don’t have.
Always talk at your booth. Don’t sit and wait for the customer’s to come to you. Make sure you are saying hello to every person that walks by your booth. Put something Scentsy with your name on it in their hand. Have plenty of samples on the table with the name of the scent on the sample. Have mini catalogs so you are not giving out all your catalogs. (Available on Scentsy Success)
Always have a warmer or two going. Use a favorite smell. I would not suggest using your favorite. If you pick something out of the Favorites section you are guaranteed people to stop. After all they aren’t favorites for nothing.
